Becoming a Police Detective with a Bachelors Degree and a Masters Degree…will I get promoted faster?

I have a bachelors degree in Psychology from USC which is a top 30 school in the country. I took multiple classes in criminal behavior. I also have my masters degree in Criminal Justice. I know the typical time length to become a detective is 3-10 years as a patrol office before you can become a detective. Will my degrees help me make it 3 years before being promoted instead of 10 years? Thanks
